More Vacation highlights...

On day three we went out for breakfast at the Harbor House Cafe. Where we dined al fresco. Then we drove up to Norwalk to attended a family reunion at my Tia's home. It was so great to see so many of my loved ones in one place. My Cousin Liz is a good cook and the food was delicious. Hello, she even made one of my favorites, tamales. By the time we arrived back at my Sister's home we were all wiped out. I forgot to mention we met my Mama at the reunion and brought her back with us to Oceanside.

On day four Sister and I went to San Luis Rey Bakery and bought pan dulce and menudo. Then all of us went to the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland. We all had a great time there with the children. Let's just say the gift shop made a mint off of us. We also celebrated my Sister's birthday at Killer Pizza From Mars. A good time was had by all.

On day five we finally made it to the beach. It was absolutely fantastic. My little one loved it. It was his first ever beach experience. It was a joy to see him run into the ocean and play. I spent allot of my time taking photos and videos and sending them to my hubby. I just love that I can instantly share what's going on with my sweet hubby. For lunch we ate at In and Out Burger again. We love that place. Later in the afternoon we had the privilege of going to my nephews karate class. Wow! So much power and skill in such a cute little package. For dinner my Sister made the best enchiladas.

On day six we went to my nephews preschool graduation. It was so cute. He is a very smart and charming little fellow. Right after that it was time to say good bye to my brother and later in the afternoon it was time for my Mom to go home, too. In between the good byes my Sister took me to Fat Quarters Quilt Shop. Both my Sister and my Mama bought me some new patterns. Oh my, next time I will have to go there with just my Sister, the boys quickly became restless. I could have stayed all day long. Later we were able to go to karate one last time. I am in awe of my sister and BIL's parenting. My niece and nephew are incredible people. My niece is a very intelligent and caring young lady! I could not be more proud of all four of them.

My Sister invited me to attend her women's bible study end of year gathering. It was so touching to experience worship of the Lord with my wonderful sweet Sister and all the ladies of her church community. Thank You Sister! I also had a grilled sourdough from Jack in the Box.

I know I mentioned food a whole lot. Most of what I had I could not get where I live. Especially the mexican cuisine.

It is good to be home again. I missed my hubby so much. Of course now I miss my family. I hope to go back again next year.

Now it is time to get back in the groove.

Ah the ocean..I do love to watch the waves and enjoy the sounds and smells of the coast. How I would love to get away myself for a few days. The quilt shop looks like a real winner, thanks for sharing the pictures.
