August Sewing Machine Cover Challenge!

Jenny over at Elefantz blog has a Sewing Machine Cover Challenge. Hop on over and check it out! There are a couple of wonderful prizes. Jenny has posted her very sweet cover here.

I decided to make a cover for my Hello Kitty machine. I already have one for my grown up machine.

I am loving all the fun activities I have come across in Blog land. I hope you are too!

Lucky Me!

Earlier this month, I won a prize on Shannon's blog. I guessed the correct answer! Just moments ago the Mail Man brought Me this beautiful prize! I Love it! Thank You Shannon! Take some time to peruse Shannon's blog. She is a very talented Quilt & Sewing Teacher!

I also won the sewing calender give a way at The Long Thread. I can't decide if I will be content just looking at a page per day or if I will skip ahead to see all the great ideas.

Remarkably, I won a third lovely item made by Lola. It was a giveaway to celebrate her first Moda Bake Shop tutorial. I can't wait until it gets here!

I guess I can stop saying that I never win anything! Maybe I should consider the Lotto? Nah!

CGQC Tea Towel Exchange

A Big Thank You to Monica of Day by Day! She sent me a cute tea towel and great cobbler recipe.

August Charming Girls' Quilt Club Finishes

Coin purse zippers are all set in. I use mine for my camera.

Monkey wrench blocks done! I love them.

Raider bag done!
I used buttons from My Hubby's dress uniform. I saved them for many years.

Here is Army purse number one, finished. It is a Kimie's Quilts pattern, Pocketbook Purse. I have made this pattern many times. It is a nice gift.

Here is Army bag number 2, finished. It has many nice pockets and is a nice size for everyday.

I mad these for my Aunt and Cousin. My Cousin's little girl just joined the Army. I thought that they might like to show their pride and that they would appreciate the buttons from My Hubby's dress uniform.
So that is five finishes for August, so far. I have not finished my stitcheries or make the wallet or strawberry pincushion. I did make my tea towel. I just need to go to the post office. I am not sure if all of these finishes really count for CGQC. That is up to Kelly. I am just happy to have some finishes. I love seeing everyone's goals and finishes.
