Charming Girls & Guys Quilt Club July/Aug.

Thanks to Kelly of Charming Chatter for hosting another year of CG&GQC. This year things will be slightly different. Please check out what's new here.

The theme for July/August is Self-Care. We are sharing how we will care for ourselves. I like the idea. I know many of us do not put a priority on taking care of ourselves. I am guilty of self neglect. I am the only girl in my house and often forget to have girly time. So for this month I will spend a little extra time on my self. I am also working toward being more healthy. I have a goal to participate in a run/walk across the San Diego/Coronado Bay Bridge next Spring. I made plans with my family to participate, so I need to prepare myself. I am not sure I can run but I will do my best to keep up.

For my sewing goal this month I will finish and send my Big Brother his camp quilt. I am very happy to have the opportunity to make this for him. I can't even think of what comes after this project. I will have to post that after I am done with this one.

Very worthwhile goals! They do incorporate many things that you will be doing for yourself - you go girl!
It was hard to be brave enough to share and make a commitment to self-care, don't you think? Kelly knew what she was doing!

How long is the San Diego/Corondo bridge? I wonder if it's that big long one I driven on. It will be a blast to do that with your family. Good luck with your goals.

Sounds like good goals, especially the 'girly time' part.

Your goals are great! I am also trying to get healthy and lose weight. I wish I could join you walking across the Coronado Bridge. The bridge seems so long every time I drive across it.

I think that run/walk with your family is a fantastic idea! Can't wait to see the camp quilt:)
